The drums and vocal don't have enough of a presence. I think if you just turn down the dry/wet on the reverb a bit it'll fix most of that, but also turn up. and the drums just need to get fatter. Also look into ways to fill up the empty space in the drop. (white noise, a pad, random BS sounds thrown ...

You need cymbals and percussion. otherwise it's going to sound really empty.

The most you can pull from the Benga video is his use of riffs in the drums. That video and the Rusko master class videos are really cagy about their bass synths. and for obvious reasons lol

It really depends track to track. A lot of people just cut according to a set way, but it changes greatly depending on the sounds in the track. EQing should always be done according to need. sometimes a channel needs nothing according to what the rest of the song needs. I did the same thing you did ...

I get like this feeling that the layers are like Kick on top, cymbals, snare and then the vocal. It just doesn't come out through the mix. Try and get the vocal to come out more.

Mastering won't pull the drums out of the mix the way it is now. You'll wanna fix as much as you can now. It'll make mastering a breeze.

Yeah, unfortunately there are not many handouts in music. A lot of those guys do it themselves, or have friends, or friends who have friends to record for them.

I think your wobble is just ever so slightly off. When it goes for a long time it goes out of time. But, that really isn't that big of a deal, Rusko isn't even perfect, so who cares! Sounds good!
