Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@krinj Pretty deep, nice ideas. Although to me it sounds like something (either bass/sub/kick) is hitting much harder in the left channel - check your mixing. I actually didn't notice that, I'm producing from earbuds with no other reference than a graphic EQ, it was a synthesis issue actually and f...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@ocelot dig it, mix sounds a little flat though. kick is nice and deep as it should be. doesn't really stand out that much to me..guess i just like more experimental dnb. @filtersnake it seems like you know your way around massive, and the vocal is mixed pretty well. not my kinda tune but your prod...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
No no no, all the critic is welcome so that i can get the mix right. I meant i turn all the channels down and start working with the levels and eq's etc again :D Right on, well as I said, your drums are on point, you just need to leave some space for everything but the bass, which should take up sp...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
Sometimes you need to go into the synth, or save it and go back later when you know more, don't get discouraged man there was a lot of potential there and it'd be a shame to see you dump it based on some negative crit.MaZa1 wrote:Maybe ill just turn everything down again and start over..

You are heavy everywhere but the highs man like I said, solid concepts, lots of mud though.

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
Ma Za1- I feel like the intro needs to flow better into the drop, then after that it has a solid chug along feel, but it kinda has a lot of stuff going on that doesn't all fit together, I get the impression you come from metal music, correct me, but I do too. Anyways, This has a lot of potential, I'...

You have to route the FLO to the DERP parameter and then fart all over your computer.

It's important that you think they sound good, overall. Other than that all your attentions should be on getting to that end result.

This was your first post, you included no examples, and you neglected that there are threads for this already. On top of all that, you didn't even bother to spell things correctly.

Re: Good sample packs?
pretty sure deadly habit runs a sample coop, some of my best samples for deep stuff were copped there, the best way to get good samples for deep stuff that haven't been used and aren't stale sounding, is always going to be to record them yourself, with percussion being the driving force in deep tune...

well placed incidentals, interesting percs/grooves, slight variations in bassline, play the main riff on several instruments, each individually interesting but still fitting in the mix, and atmosphere, that may be the most important one, if repetition fits the atmosphere then you're good, not that y...

Re: How to make kicks and snares 'punchier'?
Good samples, light distortion, layering, modest compression, everything in moderation, you can have a heavy fucking kick, but if it's heavy purely because it's too loud then it's not heavy, it's loud, don't be like me and turn everything up because you're deaf as all hell. Loud is something masteri...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@krinj - have you considered changing the synth? i like the track overall (i dont usually like that style but it reminds me of 16bit haha). if the main "wobble" was a more percussive sound (like something Jakes or Coki would have) i think it'd have more effect, just my two cents. great tr...

Right fellas, new one has significantly less distortion, what is there I might leave just to keep the quality down off the EP. but it's the same URL.
