Forerunner, Always played Halo video games and i liked the concept of the forerunners as the great creators in that game. Played it alot and i thought it was pretty cool but only after a year of thinking about it

Re: Hard 'machine gun' basses? how.
I'll be quick about this... Do some research about what you want to do and also use problem solving! If it sounds like a specific effect is behind, try it. As for the question:
1) just do some grimy sounds
2) chop it into quick 1/16 patterns
3)do some effects and EQing

Re: Looking for some headphones
OK im going to let you know how this works as quickly and as simple as possible 1) No Bass Boosted(Battery Powered) Head Phones in the studio environment ever, but a nice pair of DJ headphones with good bass to have on the side is nice. 2)Studio is flat signal only, itunes/ipod/beats/skulcandys is n...

Vocals? Dos and Donts
Hey i just asking a simple question on what is best method you guys would use to get the most out of vocals?
Anything from a Fx Chain to a EQ guide would help because i dont really know much about recording vocals, also if you anything about what not to do would be awesome as well!

Re: Applying the correct mix-down...
You should never be clipping any channel no matter what your approach to mixdown is. The mixdown process is about getting the mix to sound good and have all the parts of the song represented the way you want them to and the way you think best suits the overall vibe of the song. Light compression an...

Applying the correct mix-down...
This question might seem stupid but i have no idea on what to believe in. On one side of the fence is the Deadmau5 philosophy of applying the correct mix down unsted of bitching out and stacking a limiter on the master, the other (you can guess) is the limiter ideology. Me and my friend had a little...

Re: The Drum N Bass Pluck?
You are wrong about everything. If you'd like to come over here and chop some wood, carry some water, I could show you. You know if you answer my complaint about people being jaded with another jaded answer as your rebuttal, it only proves me right. I know you may not get that but then again im pre...

The Drum N Bass Pluck?
Im pretty sure everyone has heard a song with this in it but i have no idea on how to get this underground-feeling pluck from the video below https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2QS1ZPWTtc Sound is everywhere in the begining of the track. Any ideas on how to make this sound? I know the basics of gettin...

Re: Moving the Reese Sound...?

Re: Moving the Reese Sound...?
Ok i hear the automation card being played a lot but i have a question to that. I have filters and such but is it best to place the resampled bass line into a sampler to automate it with a LFO Option? And a side question, does anyone have any recommendations on samplers of choice or does something l...

Re: Moving the Reese Sound...?
i know its a hard question to really understand but what i mean is the sort of LFO feel but still being about to revert it back to a phase like sound like in the song.bRRRz wrote:what exactly do you mean by "moving the sound"?

Moving the Reese Sound...?
After about 6 months of sound designing, i have achieve the sound in my head for my reese basses, with a few dozen patches across 3 DAWs and and 6 Vsts! :h: Now my question isn't so much about making a sound or how to make something with a VST, its about moving the sound so it can follow a set path ...

Re: Neurofunk Effect Chains
We can only give you an idea of what's going on, but you won't be able to replicate the sound. Every reese has a sound of its own, and it was mangled, reversed, stretched, sometimes every note even has a different automation on it. What I can tell you is to read DOA's threads about neurofunk reeses...
