Re: Neuro Whomp

most of this kind of sound manipulation is just using EQ to paint the sound. really eq will get you anywhere. if you use fl make a lowpass in parametric eq 2, and automate that to the timing you want. then for the different timbres, make a notch and automate that too. I'll make an example soon ...

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread

Ive been practicing heavy duty resampling as of late, it feels like the amount of work i'm spending on just one growl is too much, but maybe the results speak for themselves. Ask and ye shall receive:

Growls by themselves:

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread

I use 3xOSC for Reese's because I just wind up with a cleaner sound in the end honestly! My massive reeses always get too sloppy because I get distracted by all the options and wind up doing way too much to it. And I don't have the best hardware so if I can use a simpler synth for something I will ...

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread

Trapdoor sounds like something you could create in Massive with some clever modulation.

Also considering feed me uses FL, it wouldn't surprise me i he made stuff in 3xOSC too.
90% sure he uses it for his Spor basses :P

Trapdoor massive patch, let's figure it out man! Probably my favorite growl ...

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread

I don't think he means sub, just more in the lower register. I have synesthesia and I see sounds as shapes and colours, and to me, the growl looks like it has a lot of bottom and top but the body seems to be hard to pick out.

Re: The Reese Bass Thread

3xOSC mate! About two FL mixer channels worth of effects (Minimal Vocodex, camel crusher, stereo, EQ, parametric eq notch filter, flanger, ohmicide on the high end, limiting, more eq), resampled and layered with foley, then on top of it all, smashed really hard with a limiter and then a low pass ...

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread

Most feed me basses i think can be recreated with Massive (if that's what you intend to do) but there's two that come to mind that I think are exceptions to that rule: the Cloudburn bass and the Trapdoor growl. Cloudburn sounds like fm8 in my opinion, and I don't know what the hell to do about ...

KTN also said that he knows Feed Me loves FM8 as well.

I mean, nobody said producers can't use more than one synth haha

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread

@Eskimo haha, i can't do a step by step since this is an actual track, but essentially I made the bass in massive (I'll post the patch when I get home), wrote in the subline, made the bass follow it, and then automated the crap out of the macro I made (messed with a few minor things but mostly the ...

Corrupted Project File O_O

I am literally about to cry.

FL isn't letting me open up one of my tracks, and all I have that remains of it is an mp3 bounce I did last minute late last night. WHAT DO!? Is there any way I could turn that into a wav without a noticeable drop in quality? What do you guys think? Asking here because ...
