Re: WIP Thread - GIVE FEEDBACK TO OTHERS BEFORE POSTING!!!

@InsertGoodNameHere - Despite hating prog. house, I like the melodies. I think you should fade the lead in, maybe with volume, increasing reverb wetness or something. There is a lack of bass (obviously drums should make up for it) but for some extra filling I reckon the lead would sound good with ...

Re: The things that pissed you off today ™ thread

Beat this - I buy £20 ticket to rave about 2 months early (before it sells out). Closer to the date I spend 10 on mandy. Day before the event, I get a horrible case of the flu, and couldnt even bring my self to get up let alone travel to get there :u:

Re: Music Production and Drugs

Being stoned does help me come up with interesting melodies and rhythmic arrangements, but its shite for everything else. I went about 10 months where I would constantly blaze, and due to laziness I didnt put out a single track. I guess it just depends on the person

Re: New Skrillex EP (LEAVING) - Thoughts? 3 Songs.

Despite his amazing production, im not really feeling any of these. I dont think his sound blends well with burial-like vibes.. I respect that he tried something different, but he should just stick to his usual screeching.

Good job on the bassline, my system isnt the greatest for subs but i can definitely feel it. Youve captured this dark, battle-scene-like vibe really well, nice one

Re: List Of Members Collaboration // Collabs Thread

What DAW do you use?
Reason.

How long have you been producing for?
2-3 Years.

What VSTs do you favour?
Well I use Reason, so no VST's. Preferably Maelstrom for basslines, and I like Thor for synths. I'm quite flexible as I have been using Reason for quite a while :)

What artists/labels ...

Re: Production Resolutions for 2013?

Collab alot more
Start rewiring something with reason, as I cant stand its absence of VST's, its really limiting
Enter more remix competitions
Push genre boundaries
Find some really good real instrument samples; strings, maybe woodwind and whatever else I find interesting.
Get into some sort of ...

Re: Sub bass 'octave up' note?

Yeah Reso defo said E, G and F. Also, we should leave octaves out as synths and DAWs can vary which octave is which. I presume that if you are posting, you would know which octave we are in regarding sub

Sub bass 'octave up' note?

Yoyoyo. A sub (in this case a sine) is meant to sit in the same frequency range, right? So to do this, you would want to move notes that are going too low an octave up (and vice versa) - for example you might move a sine at C up an octave if the frequencies its hitting are too low to sound good. So ...
