The preset is a ton of fuckery tied to the X and Y params and so because of that, I can't really explain how I got the whole sound to work.

Bandpass>distortion can get you some good 'wah' or 'rah' sounds if you can tweak the distortion, the filter freq., the filter width, resonance, and resonance width.
