Hmm, maybe your speakers accentuate that frequency band or maybe mine have a dip there.. Could be my listening environment too. I'm probably not going to change it. My method is once I've mastered it, it's done and I move onto the next one - which will be better than the last.

Yeah see what you mean. I often layer my snares but on this one, I kept it simple. There's not a lot in that clap below 500hz and that was kind of intentional but I can understand your thinking.
