Re: What do you think about presets ?

Some people can make awesome patches and then do fuck all interesting with them, we all know this. I'd much rather those people give out their patches so I could hear what good composers could do with them. My sound-design journey is still in its infancy. I can make some cool noises but I like grimy...

Re: Fun things to do when you're bored of producing.

When I'm stuck or becoming fed up with producing tunes I sometimes just have a sample fuck-upery sesh sort of like what you guys have said. When I'm in the middle of a tune it's not productive to go mad mangling stuff beyond recognition on the off chance of ending up with something usable. But going...

Re: free sitar synth

Nice find! ^Ebolaman, this might be up your alley. This guy gets a Sitar-like sound out of a regular guitar. he also makes his own instruments and one uses a ribbon controller :U: That is so cool. The Yardbirds recorded a version of 'Heart Full of Soul' with a sitar playing the riff at the beginnin...

Re: free sitar synth

<3.

It's an ambition of mine to get a sitar one day and learn it. I can play guitar so I can't imagine it being much of a jump. Thanks for the link.

Any chance of being able to have a listen to what you come up with? Do love me a bit of jungle. Well, a lot, tbh.

Re: You should only ever buy hardware twice...

You might have the ability to use the full potential of high-end gear, but not the funds for it or inclination to save for it. I suppose a factor in this is how much of your time you want to invest in your music, not just in making it but working and scrimping to buy more stuff to play with. If it's...

Re: Choking Hi Hats in Fruity Loops?

Couldn't you just place another open hat in the same spot as the closed hat and put the velocity (of the open hat used to choke) at zero? It works on the step sequencer, if you're using that

Oh fuck it all! Why do I not check these things? :u:

E. Coli does sound cool. I think bronchitis and aids don't quite have the same ring to it though eh? If anyone has any good disease based ideas then I'm all ears.

Re: How did you come across your producer name?

'Cause I'm too sick. In all seriousness, I'm fascinated by disease. If I wasn't passionate about music, or I didn't for some reason develop with a good creative writing ability, I'd probably have become a virologist or something. Ebola essentially liquefies people's insides... at some point I...

'Allo people. Been lurking for time. Signed up and intend to stick around. Been 'producing' for a while (dubstep and jungle... big junglist) but starting to get into the swing of it a bit more, mainly from the goldmine of good info that is the production forum.

Safe :t:
