Obsessive anyone?
There has been a couple of threads talking about the whole dynamic of when to stop on a track, over analyzing, and over hearing your own music to the point where you second guess or can't stand it anymore. Would you assume that most artist's get to that point with each of their own track? I mean I ...

Re: Need alittle guidance for purchasing a new pc
Man I remember when I first started I had a 6 year old dell laptop latitude and it had 785 MB of Ram and probably a really bad processor. I was making tracks with Abelton Suite and using massive fm8 ect... and it never lagged on me. Of course I upgraded for about 500$ I got a Hp laptop with 4Gb ram ...

Ever get Obsessive with a track?
]I assume we all can get this way about a passion we love. Sometimes when I am working on a track, especially if it is a remix competition, I get super hyper critical with my track. I think it sounds tight and then when I over play it trying to get it to sound better and better sometimes I end up ...

Re: Knowing when to stop/ over playing your own project.
I was thinking of starting this exact thread 2 days ago. My workflow is still quite slow and I end up listening to loops of my own stuff until i'm sick of it. When you reach that point you need to just take a brake from production for at least a day or two. Then play what you have to people you ...

Knowing when to stop/ over playing your own project.
Hello, I sometimes when working on the project think that what I have so far is awesome, However, sometimes if i listen to it too many times trying to see what else I can add to it I sometimes start to dislike it more and more. Probably because over hearing anything will sound less good. Sometimes ...

Re: Fm8 changes sound after I save in abelton?
Also, even when I don't touch the easy morph controls. If I save the patch in fm8, re open it, and play it agian it still sounds different. I dont even have to save my project, once I load another midi clip to put the same fm8 sound in just to see if it changed it does. Any ideas?

Re: Fm8 changes sound after I save in abelton?
Hey thanks man I forgot about that option and it seems like i will just convert to audio before I save.RandoRando wrote:mine does this too, you just have to bounce it to audio once your done with it. freeze the track, then drag the audio down to a new audio lane

Re: Fm8 changes sound after I save in abelton?
Yes I heard it does that. Do I just have to wait until the bug gets fixed and just reopen the saved patch every time I reopen my project?mthrfnk wrote:Doesn't FM8 reset to the INIT patch upon reopening a project? It is/was a known bug and you had to reopen the patch.

Fm8 changes sound after I save in abelton?
I have researched this on NI forums and haven't got any luck. I am new to the FM8 plug in but have have seen many other people with the same issue. I come up with a sound that I like in FM8, I save it, Then I put it in a midi clip in abelton, it sounds fine. As soon as I save my project and reopen ...
