Holy shit dude. That's great. The sounds are all really clean, and I love the vibe you create. I can't wait to see where it goes. I love that lead that comes in at :33, how'd you make that? Really, the only thing that I noticed is that when the drums come in at the end of the build, they ...

@R3b_Official
Alright, a couple things: First of all, the build was pretty effective - probably the best part. The mixing needs a little work - I can really only hear the top of the kick drum, no other drums during the drop. Most of all though, it just needs to be more musical. The sound design ...

This is fuckin gnarly dude. really the only complaint I have is that the mix sounds a little muddy. I love the samples.

Re: Vault - Time to Rock (BroStep/CLIP)
I like the melody in the drop, but Halfnhalf is right, the drop needs more energy. part of that would be fixed with mixing

I especially like the percussion. the drop is fucking hardcore, I love it. As a whole, the mix seems a little harsh in the high end. You're right that the build-up could be a little more intense...I think if you didn't leave it silent for so long, or put a few vocal chops in between ...

First thing I noticed is that the kick in beginning has more punch. I like that.The drums in general are sounding a lot tighter with is nice. I assume the live drums are the ones that come in around 1.10 (among other places). Depending on the sound you're going for, I might low-cut those ...

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
Decided to put the simple Triangle ---> Formant growl in context. This growl is similar although the triangle is being modulated by a ramp wave. This seems to morph the formant, which is exactly what i'm aiming for. However, it makes the sound a bit hard to work with. Anyways listen:

Thanks!PillowFight wrote: Those are really nice sounding, but not quite as deep as I like them personally. How'd you go about synthesizing that?
It's made in Massive with a Grain II set to Bend + with a double notch filter and LFOs on the wavetable position, intensity and filter cutoff, and a couple fx.

I like the feel so far, but the song sounds really sparse overall...there's just not a whole lot going on. the first thing I would do is make those drums bigger. Also, if you added some ambient noise in the background (a pad, or sometimes ambient samples work really well), it would ...

Updated again:
I changed out the intro melody, and re-did a bunch of synth sounds... I still think my synth breaks need more work :/
I think the main thing is that it's more or less the same synth break every time. If you varied them up some more, it'd be really cool. I like the ...
