Not having picked the best drums and perc from my fairly well arranged, but over stocked library of sample packs, thus slowing me down every time I find some studio time.

Either that or having some drum machine templates ready.

I'm also getting distracted too easily in what has become limited ...

at the end of the day, I'm more so influenced to open ableton, than I am influenced to create a particular piece/sound/arrangement...Inevitably, regardless of how something comes to fruition.

Could not agree with you more, I'm more inspired to open my DAW than to ...

For Sub-Basses I usually use a simple Sine Wave, no need to over think it. A hint of compression and maybe a slight sidechain to the kick to reduce interference also goes along way

I was just wondering what habits all you guys have picked up while producing, one of mine is EQ'ing absolutely everything, it becomes too intensive after a while and I
have to abandon ship, any way around needing to EQ sounds so much?
