Re: 140bpm Neuro/Dubstep track, desperately requiring feedba
Reading it back it didn't come across quite as I meant. The samples add a lot of character, I was just curious how dark and moody the track would be without them. I am too used to listening to the same old generic dubstep, you are trying to do something new and the hits should definitely stay as the...

Re: 140bpm Neuro/Dubstep track, desperately requiring feedba
I like it mate, I think you should set it loose on the public, don't be shy ! :D I am not a big fan of intros in general and usually skip them but I liked your buildup and went back to have another listen. Great job on trying something completely different - the plucked string (what instrument is th...

Re: KREASE - TEKTONIK (DEEP SUB OLD SCHOOL FREENESS)
Nice work. Nice sub, nice "wub" bass, good use of vocal sample - sounds like I have heard it before if you know what I mean, reminded me of an old garage track or something. Usually I try to give creative criticism type comments but I can't think of anything off the top of my head, sorry! :)

Really like that. Nice clear separation between your high end, growly bass and sub. The hi hats get a little lost in the mix for me, but I am using shitty headphones.
I am loving the growls, what software did you use?

Re: Falling (Work In Progress) - Alexander Gastrell
Really like your vocal work here mate. Completely up to you, but I think the intro would be better starting with the part 12 seconds in. Try it :) Also, the 'F' in falling in the intro has a bit of a hiss on it I think (unless that is a hat or something?), if it isn't intentional you might be able t...

Re: WHEELTON - OPEN YOUR MIND (DUBSTEP/CHILL VIBES)
Love the radio tuning on the intro and of course the vocal. I was kind of hoping that there would be a little more of the vocal - maybe a "wooah" or "yeah", but that is of course up to you and it sounds just fine without. Nothing stood out to me as too loud or too soft in the mix...

Re: Lunch Meat - Oscar Mayer(dubstep)(Feedback?)
haha I like the mad spoken samples :) Here are a few bits that you could look at if you want to make your song sound a bit more polished: I think the whoosh sound in the intro and the vocal might be a little too loud or dry, they could do with sitting back in the mix a bit imo. I would also fade the...

Re: Gimme some feedback (Glitch hop/grime)
I think this is a big improvement. Couple of bits that you could still polish, there is some weird glitches around 1:15 mark, they don't sound intentional maybe because of the delay going into the breakdown section? Here and at 2:35 the delay seems a bit much. My guess is that the delay is an insert...

Cool - Thanks for the feedback. The song I am working on at the moment is quite different to this and will hopefully be a step nearer what I want to sound like. I put this up to hopefully get some feedback on the mix and overall sound quality

Re: Cornflayk - Mend
Hi, The overall sound as a whole is really good. Your mixdown sounds good to me, nothing is standing out as too loud/too soft. The choir sample detracts from a professional sound though ...it would work really well if it wasn't a stock sounding sample, but who has access to a real choir eh?. Maybe r...

Re: Photon Man - Helios [Zomboy/xKore-ish Dubstep]
I like! That synth where I commented is real nice, what did you use to make it if you don't mind me asking? Only critical thing I would say is the sound that first comes in at 16 seconds sounds a little out of place to me. Too prominent? Not enough effects? Not sure. The rest of it was spot on thoug...

Re: Zeenith-ALINE SHAP (Dubstep clip)
The lead synth sounds a tiny bit shrill to me and I think it is probably sucking a bit of punch out of the drums as well. The vocal sample is good in a kind of annoying way :), I played it 3 times to try and work out what it was saying. Want to put me out of my misery? Sounds promising - finish it !...

The headphones I am using right this minute came free with my phone
My flat mates probably wouldn't appreciate me using my speakers. Looking to get a new pair of seinheisers but they are like £300....I can't justify the cost!

Re: The Wonky Wonk
Really enjoyed that. Well balanced track. Nice wide, clear sound. Well done! I'm quite a newb so I can't really advise munch on the wonky sound you are after. Maybe try two lfos on one parameter with different settings? And for the drums, reason has a "shuffle' option, which might help. Or try ...

Re: ExGauge - Draconian (Untongue) (Dubstep)
Hi ExGauge, I liked it The Intro white noise was a little harsh for me, I think it needs turning down or EQing a little. I like the guitar esq synth its nice. The vocal samples are pretty sweet as well. That plucky string guitar sound gives it almost an indian vibe. Nice change up at 1:50. I thought...

Good clarity of sound especially the drums! Personally, I thought the second section could do with a bit more variation but that is just my opinion. Nice track, good job!

Hi, Bit of constructive feedback below. Hope you don't think I am slating your work completely, it's got some promising bits in there, keep it up! 1) I like the actual tune, it's nice! But the quality of the sound is a little 'muddy'. Are you doing some side chaining or something? If so, maybe try d...
