Re: Super Crazy Protohype/Kezwik Arrangments
R3b: Dude i'm the same exact way. Except I feel confident with my theory because I came into producing a musician but i feel like my sound design is sometimes lacking. I make a really cool patch when I'm just messing around but when i get serious and say "i have to make some patches" then i cant ...

Assuming i'm lazy....
I don't think telling somebody to "give up" for wanting to explore different more efficient ways of sequencing a drop is a productive response. Its not that I'm "Lazy" its that i want to learn about different methods people use. There is never one way to do something ...

Re: Super Crazy Protohype/Kezwik Arrangments
I just checked out that guys channel and there is some pretty good stuff! Its not the bass processing that im having trouble with, its more of the triggering of different bass sounds so quickly without sequencing them one at a time. You mentioned something about loading them into simpler? can you ...

Re: Super Crazy Protohype/Kezwik Arrangments
yeah i try and sequence them one after another but there must be an easier way! bouncing to audio and arranging that way doesn't help me. I wonder if they make a bunch of midi clips with different automation and arrange midi clips? i'm just trying to figure out the different ways of putting sounds ...

Super Crazy Protohype/Kezwik Arrangments
Hey guys. i've been doing a ton of research about drop arrangements and re-sampling techniques on here but i still could not find anything about super glitchy hectic basslines like this. These drops just blew me away. what do you guys think?

Re: DATSIK & D-JAHSTA NOISES?!?!
It really is a battle of small adjustments. i have the phaser dry wet modulated from about 7:00 up. Rate at 11:00, and feedback at 7, and depth at 12.
Try using the regular delay inside Effectrix instead of the tonal delay. i found that the tonal delay gives it too much "squeek". put the delay at ...

Re: DATSIK & D-JAHSTA NOISES?!?!
I used a Scream Wobble with 5LFO modulating the cutoff all the way, scream at about 10:00, and the resonance halfway. I also modulated the phase and ringmod on OSC 2, a phaser dry/wet, and the intensity on all OSC to give it some movement before the FX come in.

Re: DATSIK & D-JAHSTA NOISES?!?!
I achieved a similar sound by making a wobble with lots of upper harmonics, picking an LFO rate, lets say 1/4. and then using sugar bytes WOW vowel filter in LFO mode at half of the rate you are on in massive. so say 1/2. mess around with that and you should find something similar. :W:

Re: Talking bass
I only really split freqs on wobbles and reeses. I don't think I have ever split on a growl. Growls are more of an EQ/filter thing for me. All I can really recommend is trying to make your bass sound ass full as you can get it in your synth before processing. And don't be afraid to experiment either ...

Re: Talking bass
And about the talking bass. This thread sort of helped me out: http://www.dubstepforum.com/sugar-bytes-wow-t134594.html
but i am still experimenting to get that "Cyberoptics" type of wobble. It seems to me like he plays out different wobbles with different vowels settings, slices them up, and ...

Re: Talking bass
Do you split frequencies? what DAW are you using? There is a really easy way to split and process Highs, Mids, and Lows separately in Ableton by creating an audio effects rack. I'm sure there are tons of posts about freq splitting on here. Give that a try. I think that will help you get a more hard ...

Bass Triggering/Arrangement Question
Hey guys, this is my first post on this forum and I'm not really new to Dubstep production but i just had a few questions about how you guys build your basslines and drops. I use Ableton Live and im pretty familiar with it but there are just so many ways you can approach drop arrangements. What I ...
