Re: $350 for some hardware that just does kick drums?
You might have 1,000 drum samples, but how long does it take to cycle through them? Plus you still might not find what you want It's like comparing static EQ presets with being able to twist dials yourself ... Take something as simple as a TR909 (which people nowadays pay over $3,000 for), and with ...

Re: Powerful Kicks
Again, I apologize for the nooby questions. When I first started out I had people telling me left and right the ONLY way to get fat sounds was to stack tons of layers on top of eachother. I tried doing it a few times and couldn't get good results, and I thought to myself, maybe this ISN'T the right...

Re: How would I achieve the purest sawtooth?
Actually your pure saw wave won't be very pure once it's been pitched up or down in a sampler, they all add aliasing and filtering and all sorts. If you want a harmonically pure saw, check out that LuSH101 synth. It's modelled on an analog saw, but even so it's way purer than anything you'll likely ...

Re: Headphones for producing
Same boat here. Lol I bought a pair of Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro's for $200. Amazon is having a sale on them right now for $185. They are more than likely the best you can get for the price range. They are HIGHLY praised and I myself love them. Every song I work on, I work strictly with them. This Use...
