Re: Cryptic - GSC [Dubstep]
I like the idea of the tune and you have carried it off well :) The Bass sound is dirty and great, and you have a good haunting piano tune to give the track a themed feel :) A couple of things to note: - I feel like the snare doesn't come through the mix very well, its not a bad snare, it just need...

Re: Cryptic - GSC [Dubstep]
First off, I noticed you have some out of key/dissonant notes at the end of your phrases in the intro. You might have done this on purpose, but it really stands out to me as a musician. The mix is decent, but you can do a few things to improve it. 1. The kick sounds like it needs to be compressed a...

Genetix - Mammoth Bass (Cryptic Remix)
Just wrapped up the remix for Genetix. I had a lot of fun with this, I can really see improvement in my production which is awesome. Still a lot of room to improve though, tell me what you think!

Re: MineSweepa Growl
Ahh.. Well Darby is apart of Dawinism (which is a producers group a few friends and myself founded). If I remember correctly the sound is a reese (meaning detune saw waves). The main modulation comes from the following : A pitch being (going upwards about 1.5 octaves) a Highpass filter and Chorus. ...

MineSweepa Growl
I've been trying to figure out this little high pitched growl that minesweepa uses; it can be found around 1:40 in the linked song. https://soundcloud.com/minesweepa/minesweepa-feat-alexander-the Basically it sounds like there's an envelope on the pitch, giving it the waaaaahhhh!!! as it goes up in ...

Re: Funtcase/Trampa sounds
So I found this in an old project i was working on, and i thought it sorta sounded like what you were looking for. Obviously it's not perfect. But i can upload the massive patch or screenshot it if you want. I'm going for that Trampa- Jurassic feel. A lot of those sounds are pretty heavy reese's. B...

Re: Need some ears!
I'm on a laptop so the speakers aren't great; take what I say with a grain of salt. Cool song, very creative. I really like the metallic and drip basses combined together. As far as mixing goes, your drums are being lost in the mix. its looking like your bass is peaking at a higher DB than your kic...

Need some ears!
Been working on this song for a while and just need a second set of ears for critiquing. This is my first master of the "finished version", but I want someone who hasn't been listening to it for multiple hours. https://soundcloud.com/crypticdub/cryptic-tubby-original-mix edited it with a p...

Re: Robostep
There's this thread . Try: Sub osc, complex wave, second complex wave +1 oct LP or formant filter, automated Sample and hold / bitcrusher 30ms delay w/ feedback EDIT: I also found Massive's step sequencer gives a computerised sound. That first line under 'Try', is literally impossible for me to und...
