Re: Massive's Wavetables?
Chrome? Deep Throat? What kind of oscillators are those??? Idk, i don't like massive with all the crazy waveforms...
What? Really? Massive is amazing! Its one of the most versatile synths once you learn to use it.
Try Scrap Yard!
ive heard it. sounds good. But its just kinda strange with all ...

Re: Finally found the best 3rd Party Vocoder for Logic Pro X
have you tried waldorf's Lector? much nicer UI.....i wonder how it compares in sound and parameters though...
I tried Lector. It still wasn't what I was after. It still an impressive Vocoder tho. Outside of MVocoder it's the only 1 that will allow you 100 bands.

Re: Camel Audio's Alchemy vs NI Kontakt
If you buy Komplete you also get Absynth. I haven't really dived to deep into Absynth myself. It's an incredibly deep synth. But I know you can drag samples into it the oscillators as well and use those as your wavetables. It also, if I'm not mistaken, allows you to perform granular synthesis ...

Finally found the best 3rd Party Vocoder for Logic Pro X
I just thought i'd share this with everyone. I've been searching for a long time for a good vocoder to run in Logic to use on Massive and FM8 basses...and i'm excited to say i've finally found what i'm looking for. I've tried Orange Vocoder....hated it. If your wanting to just do a vocal talk box ...

Just thought I'd ask about this vocoder plugin before I purchased it. I'm a Logic X user and in need of a vocoder that will allow me to make good talking basslines out of FM8 and Massive. Logic's stock vocoder, the EVOC 20 TrackOscillator, is horrible IMO. I ...

Re: KDrew Basses
I'm dying to vocode some FM8/Massive basses and see what happens but i have Logic Pro X and can't try it for myself. Unlike Abelton... LPX doesn't come with a good vocoder for doing this kind of stuff. The EVOC 20 Polysynth and the Evoc 20 track oscillator are absolute junk.

Re: KDrew Basses
I know right! Just got a idea I havent considered before about how he MIGHT be doing some of his bass modulations. Possible using the key tracking in massive to do some of his modulations? He gets interesting movement on all his pitch bends....this is something I have yet to try...but it sounds like ...

KDrew Basses
KDrew is one of my favorite artists right now. I love his bass sequences. Everything is so busy and it sounds as if he has TOTAL control of his bass modulations....meaning to me it almost sounds as if he draws everything in. Been trying to encorporate some of what I hear in his tracks on my own now ...

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
I've seen quite afew Growls on here that involve the use of vocoders. The "YaWeh is God" patch i heard earlier in particular was pretty cool. I know Abelton's vocoder is perfect for adding just the right amount of vocoding to your FM8 & Massive patches. In fact they are the only ones i can find on ...

Re: FM8 Focus
Personally I wouldn't say either Massive or FM8 is better than the other. With Massive if u mainly know the wavetables and the filters your golden. U know what ur going to get and recreating sounds is easy. FM8 has infinite sonic capabilities but is more about exploration than knowing what's gonna ...

Re: Favorite Multiband Distortion Techniques on Dubstep Bass
I admit asking what ur fav distortion type is for specific bands was stupid. But surely the ppl that use trash 2 a lot have found certain distortion types that they keep going back to.

Re: Making Snares? How?
Hey Kaastro,
I feel you on this, getting the right snare can be a bit of a mission sometimes :u: , for starters, to get the type of snare you're wanting you either have to layer snare samples or find a really decent single snare sample. The source sample is key. after that it's all about subtle ...
