Yeah that's the yt video with Dan Larsson demonstrating the growl that zomboy used from his monster bass sample pack. Really nice pack too, bought it myself after someone referenced it to me in another topic I made. Best 30 bucks I've spent.

lol what I meant by "unique" was that it wasn't your typical generic sample pack growl. It sounded great in the aforementioned songs, and I wish he used it for his newer stuff too tbh.

Ok, I've spent some time trying to find a sample of the main growl heard in Zomboy's Parasite remix and City 2 City (he's notorious for using samples after all). Holy shit you're right! I demoed one of the samples in the Monster bass pack and it was the EXACT sound and loop lol. Still, it would be good to get it myself out of my synthesisers instead of resorting to samples >-< I'll look through his tutorials and see what i can do from there.

Are you sure you followed the tutorial correctly? I just finished it myself and mine sounded identical to his. Just go over it again, and make sure you go to the file tab > new sound to initialise the patch before you dial in the settings.

oh ok no worries then, I guess I'll just have to do some experimentation/trial and error with Massive & FM8 to find the sound.
