I have an 8 track so I could run the audio signal from the game or DVD into that and then record as usual but won't I lose a bunch of quality? Is there a way I can take the audio information off the DVD and just chop out the pieces I want? More specifically, is there a cheap/free way to do it ...

After all its them who buy the 12s and support the smaller labels- for instance (and i'm just taking Vex'd as an example here) wouldn't it have been the people who bought the 12's that convinced Mike P to sign them ...
