A welcome return.

Perspective is always lacking on the internet so it's a good thing that it reared it's head whatever the circumstance.

Higher powers shouldn't forget that we the community are the only reason this place is as successful as it is. Shouldn't be taken for granted or tested.

I don't mean to be rude but if you do want to be a moderator then publicly airing your grievances in the way that you have isn't exactly the best way to go about it. You talk about respect yet you're openly undermining their decisions on how the forum is run and what should and shouldn't be moved in ...

You seem to be putting alot of time and effort into making sure rules are followed on the forum. That's entirely up to you but you have to accept that not everyone is going to put as much importance on doing these things correctly as you do. And no amount of commentary is going to change that.

It is a bit cheeky to essentially charge people for entering a remix contest, however if they do sell then it might pave the way for more artists to start eventually releasing mutitracks of their music.

Radiohead Remix Contest....

"To celebrate this week's single release (we still have those in England) Radiohead have broken up the song 'Nude' into pieces for you to remix.

For those of you who enjoy this sort of thing, you can buy the separate components or 'stems' (bass, voice, guitar, strings/FX and drums) and remix your ...

I definitely agree with his views on the fidelity of modern pop records. Reading some of the replies I think that some have mis understood what he was saying about all pop records sounding the same, he isn't talking so much about the content of the music itself but the way in which it is produced ...

Where did you manage to get hold of them?

PM me if it was less than legal ;)

Using original Multi track audio

I've come across quite a few Multi track masters in the past few days, that is to say the complete seperated audio tracks for songs by Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder etc . I've seen quite a bit of discussion on other forums as to the legality of these tracks when used individually and not ...

Surely the large clubs have the neccesary equipment to properly represent a stereo mix on a mono soundsystem though, rather than you having to cater for them. Or is it more of a case of good practice to do it?

Also I saw a feature on a producer in music tech I think it was, where he used a nifty ...
