gilles peterson has always been one of my favorite selectors and has been a big influence on me as a dj. the man has taste and it's great that he's showing love to dubstep. he was playing "request line" years ago, so this isn't new.

Now this has started to bother me because he blatantly hasn't had a proper listen to whats going on. For someone so forward thinking I'd expect him to see what started jungle in this scene - pioneering ...

it's an album of love songs! oh no! ha! such an alien album, but such a human one at the same time. really hits a lot of chords.

speaking of "alien" anybody else notice the creepy pads on track 1 are from the movie "alien" (maybe "aliens").

i remember hearing this same bullshit argument back in 96/97 regarding roni size/reprazent bringing in the wrong crowd and ruining drum&bass. you know what happened? nothing. drum&bass destroyed itself years later, by itself, without the help of anybody from the outside.
