I was just about to right that the Electribes are probably a bit of a waste of money as (assuming you're sticking with a DAW for this?) you don't need the sequencing aspect that much.... but they're CHEAP, so maybe it's worth finding one for a play around.

i wouldnt do "ALOT" of anything in the mastering area... maybe a little limiting if you aren't gonna have it professionally mastered, just keep checking your mix on your monitors, car ...

i think i'm morally opposed to remix contests in which you have to pay to get the files

i dont have rebirth currently installed, but if i remember correctly, you can rewire it into reason and then rewire it into your DAW.

this is from memory, but i believe it'll work, maybe slightly out of order

first, open your host program
second, open reason
then open rebirth

then ...
