Anyone know about paying visual artists for album artwork?

A friend from Uni has been workig on an album cover and logo for me.
It's excellent, but wisely wants to arrange a contract before handing the bits over.

Yeah, the right one started to make a buzz sound, but the tshirts sorted that out, plus the bass sounds tighter, although I now have a 12" sub under my desk, so the event tr8s don't have to handle anything under 80 hz

I'd say go down to a printers with a 300dpi jpeg of the word dubstep and say
"can you make this into a sticker?"

I would personally put it at the highest, sharpest resolution, but it depends on your eyesite.
