snare drum help

how can i make my snare sharper sounding
iv got a bunch of samples but i just dont think my snare sounds crisp enough on coming into it

iv tried choping it so its a larger impact at the start and allowing it to tail off natuarly but still dosnt sound right

When making a track on reason 4.0, how do you create your own *.xwv patches so you have an original sound when using things like the malstrom? as im finding it hard to find anything that suits my bass line even after tinkering with it endlessly im never too happy with the end sound

kef does drum and bass so i reckon the owner would be open to dubstep

the tunnels would be a great venue if it was rammed, the guy that books the bands in there is into his reggae and i think they had some local guy playing dubstep as a warm up but the crowd was wrong for it and he wasnt billed ...

i rember there being a compliation a while back on boomkat that eigher had vex'd or kode9 working with some classical group - can any one rember its title?

also skream was supposed to be doing somthing with gile peterson and a live jazz band did anything happen with this ?
