anyway i think it matters, and yeh im afraid it does bother me when people say dub - as i love real dub ...

but thats a completly different domain to dubstep, dnb and electronic music, in which the producer is often the drummer, musician, mix engineer.

which is a bit shit for the music's sake.

Music used to be a collaborative process until plug ins and broke labels. It would be good musically if there ...

check the bare faced derision that nu jazz shows to any music that does not fit its own criteria for musicality (eg grime, metal, bmore, niche, punk, crunk, rave, hyphy, anything rude, loud, or fun). i couldnt give a fuck if they deign dubstep worthy of their attention.

How the fuck can you disrespect an artist purely because he earns a living off what he does?

So you think being working 9 - 5 in fucking tele-sales is more honourable than making a success of your art?

What kind of value system is that.

The dnb-afication of modern "dubstep" is so ironic. Bieng that old dubstep (re garage) was itself a reaction against dnb-afication of jungle.

Truth is, most of the original dubstep people think techy big drop dubstep is long, but they're outnumbered by younger, more enthuasiastic, louder, forum ...
