this is a much discussed problem...

The good news, is that if you are creative, you dont need that automation, you can automate the lfo/performer xfade along with amp knobs and the filter xfade... Its a workaround, but you can do it.

I put multiple performers on one cutoff, and then assign the ...

Its done in subtractor with shit load of re wireing.

This fo real? He uses Reason - cant believe you can get them sound off reason, big!

honestly, it doesn't matter whether man uses reason or anything else. A sound like that can be achieved with many a synth. It's really bugging me that people ...

I hear that Reason's Thor plays a part.
a lot of it sounds like NI Massive to me.

hope that helps. Sounds like that are not too hard to recreate.
maybe try layering a couple of saws and squares, slightly detuning them and then filtering them to taste. Most of the time you can achieve a coki-esque ...

If you're torrenting, you can do better.

FL studio is nice and easy to use, but the more I explore other programs, the more I see FL was my "practice girl"

FL was totally the same for me to.
Got comfortable using it, making tracks. Then moved onto somthn better.

Not saying you can't make ...

you can get by with Sampletank, Reason Orchestral Soundbank and as mentioned EWQL Symphonic stuff.

I actually prefer the syntheticity of the aforementioned over live played instruments. Unless we're talking about dirty samples, that is.

Live stuff is so stale most of the times (cfr the horrendous ...

you may just have a problem with the overall volume of each separate track in your tune.
Try lowering every part to as low as -6 db per channel, and start from there. push up the sub channel a bit to desired weight and volume. now export and normalize/compress.

The issue is that you may be ...

i got logic 8 running on my toshiba laptop via osx86 leopard.
logic seemed stable so i don't know why someone did it off as being dodgy.

couldn't make heads or tails of the program however. not my sequencer of choice. 5.5.1 for the pc is still very ok, if only for the native effects and instruments.

didn't mean to bring this back from the dead, but looking at getting a dub cut and had a quick question about bass being in mono.

my bass samples were in stereo. i just converted them to mono and re-imported them into my sequencer. is this sufficient for getting a dub cut? i wasn't sure if ...

soundforge? what has soundforge got to do with either logic or FLstudio.
furthermore i really challenge anyone here to come up with something that FLstudio lacks and logic, ableton, cubase or sonar has to offer instead ...

i've got them, they're pretty decent for what they cost. If you got the budget i'd say go for mackie 824 or 624 but alesis' do the job just fine once you get used to them. a bit heavy on the bass might i add but that's a good thing right :)
