i think almost any va-synth will do, you don't even need to spend money on one of the popular ones like massive etc.
just google "virtual analog vst freeware" or something like that

used reason alot, but don't really get your problem, but try using a malstroem lfo by patching the cv into substractor. in your screenshot you also modulate amp instead of filter cutoff, could this be your prob ? if none of this works, try making a wobble complete in malstroem, maybe you get better ...
