You found a 1200 mk2 for 400 maybe.. but you didnt find an MK5G for that.. If you did, whoever is selling for that cheap is a moron.... plain and simple.

UNless you find someone desperate, they are going for about 800 USD, 3grand for a pair of brand new ones.. Try again.

I own the MK5Gs after owning a pair of Vestex 2000.

I will never go back. Not sure who had the problem with controlling the pitch and platter, but ive never run into an instance like that.

I like the quartz lock because it does help keep the pitch more on key to what you want after a cue ...

Extremely flat..

EQ, Compression, Dynamics, Panning, Reverb, Delay...

Then more logical breakdowns and build ups.. Intros.. (DJ friendly ect).. They pretty much all sound half finished to me.. with none of the final cosmetic goodies that really bring everything to life.
