Yeah, no need to get monitors for djing and general listening. If you're not going to use them for production purposes, then you might as well go for an oldish hi-fi system. In the old days it was all about the Jamos and Kenwood/Yamaha ams. That shit's practically unbreakable, and well cheep nowaday...

If you're using Logic 8, then you're using osx, which means you could just use the text to speak function in system preferences.
