I always try and get the tune sounding as good as possible without any master EQ. I find constantly referencing other really well mixed tunes helps a lot in seeing what frequencies might be lacking / overpowering. Then at the end once everything is mixed I'll come back to the tune later and find ...

not one for the purists i guess. i'm a fairly recent dubstep convert - so there's a fair amount of other influences in this one. saying that it would have turned out different if it weren't for this forum, so i though i'd share it :wink:
