Legendary i have never used a jv module but from what i read its not something suited to synthesis. It might have a vfa lfo and vcf section but its no replacement for massive. jp8080, novation supernova, sh101, mc202, all these synths can be bought cheap on ebay. Or check vemia its an auction site f...

Some one posted a tip to get it working in ableton a few weeks ago.
In the mod matrix assign modulation wheel to lfo speed. If you have a midi keyboard the mod wheel will now change the speed in sync or you could draw the automation into the clip using midi cc no 1

Aye macc i left myself some wiggle room when i said "seems superior" Im gonna experiment with it some more and see what it can do. Im hoping i can use it to bring out details i like in b lines and leads. I rarely use eq to emphasize things i like i usually just use it to cut. This m...

Parallel Compression

*bangs head of table* I should have been doin this years ago when i first heard about it Yesterday i found out you could use parallel compression as an eq. I could emphasize or cut certain freqs in a very natural sounding way. I used it over a kick drum with great results. At the moment this techniq...

My sample library isnt to bad but i hate the idea of deleting samples even though i will probably never work on the huge folder of unfinished tunes i have that are linked to those samples. i dont even want to move them in case what ever sampler doesnt have a search for missing samples function. I ha...

Ya it looks amazing ableton did a great job Looking through the cycling74 max for live thread i found this 1) Think of Live as being 'the hardware' which sits behind "midiin", "midiout", "plugin~" and "plugout~". If you build a step sequencer instrument for Li...

Depends how you define music. My definition of music doesnt cover that shite. If you are going to call it anything call it performance art. That performance is music with out craftmanship and i have never been moved by music that had not been molded into what it was. Every band or producer that i ha...

There is nothing wrong with using presets and common loops in a track if it works out. The only problem i have with it is that 99% of presets are shit or they just dont suit my track. When i started producing i spent hours flicking through presets when i should have been chopping breaks layering dru...
