to get a truly japanese style you want to be using a different scale, im fairly sure that the japanese use a pentatonic scale, this will give it that authentic eastern feel

i'm getting a copy of logic 8 tomorrow (soooooo excited), i was just wondering if anyone uses just the internal synths and samplers to make tunes or if having other synths is a necessity, cos i found in logic 7 there weren't many good synths for bass.

i'm no pro, but if you've got logic 7 use the EXS24 to load your samples in and you'll have full control over the adsr, it's probably best to use three EXS and just have one sample to each, this way you can edit them seperately, there's also alot more you can do in the EXS than just the adsr, just a ...

i like it mate, i've only started to listening to dubstep recently and generally like something a bit heavier, but the quality of the production is pretty high, i especially like the jungle drum rolls going on, all your sounds work together and it flows nicely, good work
