I agree that it's not really good to have sub-genres, but what I mean (which I should have said, really) is more referring to them in a descriptive way, a sort of friendly name. Not as split up as the 2-step/4x4/speed garage/whatever styles of Garage, but to be able to say "I prefer techy dubs...

I've been half into dubstep for a while now, I have a couple of CDs and I've introduced a few people to the genre as a whole.
