Imo you don't need to read up about music theory at all.

from what i hear theres diffrent 3 basses per bar, repeating over the whole track. my guess is the first bass is mayb a square & sine wave ...

Thanks all for bringing my attention to this kind of thing.
I think there's something kind of magical about 4x4 beats at 100 bpm, the slowness gives it a kind of edge to the rhythm 'coz you expect it to be faster.
This is something I did in this type of style, got a famous soul vocal on it

This thread has been a massive help to my mixing and production in general. Pretty crucial info especially to those who just started producing, most people go in making everything super loud because they compare to other songs and dont realize their power comes from mixing down/proper mastering ...

ableton does have numbers mate. just make your volume tracks a bit taller and even wider if you need to. :h:
