that sounds like a hoover sound.

That can be achieved easily with a synth that has pulse width modulation.

Set the oscillator shape to sawtooth and lfo/adsr to modulate the pulse width. Apply a bit of distortion and filtering for good measure. Your sample you posted sounded as if it had been ...
