I think that if you are using a laptop, you can get one of those double shielded power supplies (the ones with the black plastic earth pin on the socket that goes into the wall). You could just disconnect one of the earth pins but this would be dangerous. The problem is usually a circuit created by ...

What actually is the best way to back up? I use cubase and if my desktop failed and I had backups of the cubase song files, would I be able to open them in a re-installed cubase, even tho it will have different vst setups and the like? This makes the midi files only half as useful right? Or is it be...

Mmmm... The whole thing to me smacked of an under-researched topic or somone being given the task who doesn't realy know thier onions. No sub-bass tutorial? not even the simple mistakes to avoid? Is this like a simple mathematics tutorial and leaving out addition? The included track is also pretty d...

Can't get any of these methods to work on my pc.

Something I'm missing?

The only success I've had is physically connecting the computers output back to the input. Bit of a faf with cables etc..

any ideas on filter plug ins

Anyone know a simple filter vst for lo/hi cuts?

It seems like a waste of cpu to load a whole EQ plug just to lo-cut.

Is it better to just use the built in EQ (in cubase) to do this or am I just asking stupid questions?

Yeah, Got it , used it. not really a synth tho, more of a rompler. You can't really mess with the innards and program it much. Which basically means that if you have a few good synths already then only the sampled 'real' instruments are worth having if you're likley to use that kind of thing. Most o...

As they all say you could bounce down the glitch as audio, then re-import and save the bits you like, where you like and ditch the rest. But there is also a great freeware glitch plug(vst) called dblue glitch v 1 3 which is fully programmable, though I recommend doing the former anyway to save the o...

Re: albino sx3 and all that for a noob

Firstly, anyone know how to input audio into albino in cubase sx3? Not sure about sx3 but its 1 of 2 ways depending on the DAW selecting 'audio in' on the albino osscilator either.. - Route the audio channel containing the audio signal to the Midi channel containing Albino or - Bus the ausio signal...

albino sx3 and all that for a noob

Hi all, Firstly, anyone know how to input audio into albino in cubase sx3? This is my first post here as I only found this forum recently. Been producing since feb and wouldn't mind some input on my first tune but I've read a bit before so I know better than to post it in this section! Will maybe pu...
