How do I automate parameters in renoise, ie automating the speed of a lfo or the cutoff of a filter? any help much appreciated.

When i tried to make some gabba for a laugh a while ago
I retrigged a bass drum sample and suddenly the dog started going
mental downstairs and my mum ran upstairs to check everyone was ok
thats the sign of a good bass drum sample .
