I own the HS50's and I'm quite fond of them. The only problem is that they don't go below 40hz, but it's not that much of a problem once you get to know things and use your headphones a bit.

I own them too since 1 year, they are great, very accurate. Same remark about the low frequencies. HS10W ...

Sony MDR7509HD are ultra precise in low and high frequencies, very flat. The stereo image is great too. It's a kind of audio "magnifying glass". But they are closed, after a 2 or 3 hours you must make a little break.

The deepest and dirtiest bass I've heard from a soft synth (without any additionnal effects) came from Blue (Rob Papen).
Blue + any distortion + a filter (Quad Frohmage or Filterscape) is a killing combinaison.
