Melody making

I just wanted to know what kind of pattern do you use to make your melody making.
As in do the notes go D, E, F, G or E, F, D F.
do they usually decend or what?
Obviously with dubstep there is no pattern but what I'm asking is whats the common formular for a bassline or Melody

Thanks

Hmm, would it be possible to get this effect by tweaking a kick drum thats quite bassy and just cut everything out of the sample apart from the reverb?

14... Well too young for dubstep raves, you definetly wont be able to get in to bars here in the UK but I'd check for festivals or outdoor events like that, some might have some good dubstep sets on.

I know that lol, I mean how can I get it like the bass in I loefah remix obviously not the exact same but that heavy BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM kinda sub-bass.
And I've read the production bibel helped on alot of things but not this I'm afraid, thanks.

The kind of Sub-Bass that rattles your chest.

Hello, I was just wondering how do I make sub-bass like Loefah's Skream I Remix and Truly Dread, the kind of sub bass that really rattles you, I am currently using Massive and Reaktor 5 for bass, so if someone could guide me through it I would be extremely greatful :)
Thanks
