A blond and her boyfriend are having dinner and the boyfriend says "Did you hear about the 12 Brazillion men who died an a skydiving accident?" She says, "No, that's awful!" "Well, they knew they were taking a risk skydiving," he responded. After a moment in thought the...

In Cubase SE 3: 1. Open Device Setup - Go to default midi port section - select default midi port 2. Latency should mainly be solved by the soundcard's drivers and set up before Cubase is even open. What kind of card are you using? Does it have ASIO drivers? If so have you selected those drivers wit...

Not necessarily for gear it self, but lots of useful things can be found at http://www.partsexpress.com They do have some gear, but mostly I just get the materials to build cables from them, or replacement speakers, even bought a kit to redo the surrounds on some jbl's that had gotten torn up. http:...

Its not about having the best sounding monitors, its about having accurate monitors. Sam is right, equipment will color the sound and relay unreliable information to your ear which will surprise you when you play your mixes elsewhere. That being said, if you critique your mixes on several different ...

I use Cubase 3 and it has a built in feature called System Link that's designed to just that. They may have changed the name on version 4 but I would think the functionality is still there. Here's how the manual describes it: VST System Link is a network system for digital audio that allows you to h...

Yeah, they'll be 30 watts each, generally hifi amps are rated at watts per channel, if you're using a pro amp the specs will tell you how many watts per channel, or how many watts if bridged mono. Is 6 ohms a common thing to see in England/Europe? I don't believe I've ever run across that in the US....

Def a good idea! Where's Sterling at, he's a champ at the home brew, usually brings my a sixer every time I see him. I've brewed prolly 15 batches myself and its a pretty good feeling having 2+ cases of decent brew for about $30.
