Big D 90 - Funtitled - Nice haunting synths at the start. To give the intro a more organic feel add some kind of sample - Maybe people talking in the distance or a sample of rain against glass. It would also sound cool if you automated some parameters of the reverb. Really nice melancholy groove ...

I'm getting pretty confident with using native instruments massive but some synths i've created have an extremely annoying clicking sound at the start of the note. i have tried using the ADSR and even trying to filter the click out but neither work.

yeh, it's more trying to get an understanding rather than trying to sound like them. I find replicate synths a great way of learning.

I'm trying to replicate that grimy synth sound skynet and stakka used so well in most of their tunes. It's obviously detuned sawtooth's filtered but still find it hard to get any where near.



Anyone have any suggestions?

Yeh man, these podcasts are amazing. If drum and bass keeps going in this direction, its going to huuuge. Some of these tunes are not even DnB ( unless you judge genres just by bpm). They sound tottaly dubstep, detroit techno and ' idm' inspired.

The influences at the start and end of the podcasts ...
