Gate!

I have been messing around with the gate effect on Live with pads, I was wondering is there any vst effect i could use that would alow me to control the spped of the gate cos setting up loads of clips to sidechain with is a bit of a pain.

perhaps it is more of a transformer i am look for.

OK I fixed it there was a rogue effect on one of the drum rack channels, it was switched off but as soon as i removed it all was fine.

weird I did not think it would have affected the sound when off even i the form of a delay. perhaps there was a bug with it.

yes go to the native instrument site fm8 sound amazing but hard to program compared to subtractive/additive

well I usuallky have loads of bars to bounce as clips, I make lots of 1 bar - 4bar long midiclips with automation, now I can bounce them all to audio real quick, and put them in the arrange mode that way.

I see what your saiying though if it is just 1 bar.

the problems with it for me were the following.........

The did not include midi file for everything so unless you had logic you were stuffed.

Although it is an open ended genre for the purposes of the tutorial they should have at least given a wobble tutorial, and also some tips on making dubby ...
