use both. If you have skills in one program, keep using them and add to it. Cubase would be your extension to reason. I still regret not using my Akai s1100 old style samplers which get outdated when when Reason came along. Some of the fx and time stretching were badass.

get a subwoofer. it helps judge your 80Hz to 150Hz which is where all your fatness is. Your ideal set up is NS10s with matching Yamaha subwoofer YST-SW120, or forget about the ns10s and just get the sub and use it with what you've got. Genelecs are shite. I've had some for years and only ever use ...
