Re: NI Maschine - Anyone use?

Re: Post-disco-future-funk

hey man, yeah ive been using maschine for just over a year. i use it in abelton live as i still like mixing down in a daw, and i use a lot of hardware synths which is easier to record into a daw. maschine is awesome though, basically my sketchpad and then i drag and drop audio parts in abelton. midi ...

Re: The James Blake Sound

i think its cool for people to be inspired by his sound. Just as he was inspired by the dubstep scene a few years back which took his music to a new direction. The obvious point is he's a talented musician, classicaly trained. You can hear that in his chords, i think if you can play keys properly ...

Re: Maschine 1.6

yeah i havent really noticed much latency at all as i do most my compression/mastering in my daw. Once ive made stuff im happy with in maschine, i just drag and drop the audio into live. Save the maschine project in live and if i need to tweak later i can always load it up and make some changes. So ...

Re: Maschine 1.6

Yup maschine is amazing, ive been using it for a year inside abelton live. If it had a better way of sequencing the tune- linear style and with better capabilities for tracking vocals etc i would def ditch my DAW.

The keyboard thing is a non starter, you can plug any midi keyboard into it....so 49 ...

Re: Drums

Theres loads of good drum vsts. If you want a vst with a smilar vibe to an mpc groovebox, NI maschine is great as is fxpansion geist.
Then theres other well used vsts like NI battery, or bpm motu. If you have lots of money you could go analouge and buy a poroper drum synth- i would love one but ...

Re: VST Drum Machines - (Battery 3) What's the point?

I never really enjoyed battery too much. Can you resample with it like geist? I dont think you'll find nicer filters than those in geist, geist also has a cool abelton style song mode which is a nice quick way of knocking out a tune and playing with scenes.

To be honest im using mostly maschine ...
