a multiband compressor will smash dynamics and is no substitute for real mastering

however these tools can be used properly like anything else and can be invaluable when u wanna play out your unreleased stuff and mix them with stuff that has been mastered

but it's not a substitute for proper ...

Let me solve your issue:

Look for the Native Instruments folder inside your programs map.
Search for the Massive folder and click => DELETE

Now get yourself a synth that isnt getting used by the entire dubstep universe.

@ OP: experiment with waveform and texture layering. obviously if you use 1 square osc to make your bass it will be boring. solo each ...
