I'd say my mistake was trying too many VSTs and using too much pirated shit originally. Also learn who to take advice from, everyone deals out advice on the internet, even if it's blatantly wrong and they can't make a half decent tune (I've done this too :( ).

I've never had many tunes mastered but the ones I do I put nothing on the master for the master bounce but I generally just through an EQ and maximizer on and that's just to get it louder and dirty. I don't want to add more compressioney sound to my mix, it should be sounding good with headroom whil...

I knew it was but I was hoping that wasn't the case, but I'd definitely just get Predator instead.

Mac is no better or worse, but more money. I mean I'd just get a PC for cheap and spend a few hours learning how to use it and then make it faster and then use your saved money on other shit. And also Apple is a big rip off, a lot of their parts like Ram are overpriced and shitty where you can get b...

Played with it a lot and it's just no that sick over my other VSTs to warrant a new one, I definitely have some gaps with my collection but I'll probably buy something else to fill it, Helix, Synth Squad, Reaktor, etc. Subboombass just didn't do enough for me to warrant the purchase.

I bought it but you shouldn't be buying it for wobbles due to how it's programmed. It's best for like weird sounds and atmospherics as stated. So sick though.

I don't mind Reaper, it's not like Cubase or Logic where as it comes with a bunch of stuff that's instantly usable (effect, vsts, etc) but it's cheap and you can test the full version. When peeps in my area ask me what they should learn on to get into it I always suggest they try Reaper, as it's che...

Yah I was busting nuts waiting for it, but I think it sounds a bit crap when I stack it up to the other programs I use. It's nice for weird beepy sounds and shit but yah the actual sound of it never grabbed me. Surge, Helix, and Massive do the modular thing better, not as intuitive I guess but they ...

i usually use F + G (originally cuase they sound the biggest in my tiny untreated room) sometimes E as well but i wanted to become more conscious of what people would hear at various venues Man it's all relative. Whatever you hear most is probably what peeps will hear most in a club to various degr...

Man really any synth will work, Sylenth is a mofo on sounds like that. But yah just play a riff at a really high pitch and start cycling through oscilators/waveforms. I'd recommend some of the free CM VSTs.

mmm, probably whatever bass hits in the 50-65hz range, some deep sub goes lower but yah often doesn't show up. Keys of like F and G seem to work well. E too. I used to always write in C out of laziness but the bass isn't always there. Plus I find shit club systems hype the bass so they compensate fo...

Re: Just had a thought about Guitar Hero / Rockband....

Anyone know if its possible to play those tracks back by themselves in some way? I know you can download a ton of tunes for those games, and for them to work within the game they have to be separated tracks... which would make them wonderful sample sources for remixing. Anyone know more about this?...
