Yeah, the wobble bass stabs are pretty sweet. The way they stab in almost gives it a reggae feel (it sort of evokes muted guitar stabs). And the sub bass is killer :)

PC - Mono (dark stepper, feedback appreciated)

I'm new to dubstep production (mostly hip hop production in the past). This is a track I made playing around with manually programming swing into the beat to give it that 2-step feel.

Any and all feedback appreciated.

Nice one. The beat drops in really nicely, and the noises that sweep in every few measures are really effective. Nice solid bass.

Very cool. I wasn't expect it to hit hard with just 4 bit samples and square waves, but I think you pull it off nicely. I'd love to hear it on a big PA. The way you can hear the individual pulses on the bass at the end of the second track is sweet.

Is there a chipstep genre or is that just your ...

Nice, very polished with spot on sounds and mixing. Great atmosphere. Your style sort of reminds me of Wadadda in that regard which is definitely a good thing :)

My only suggestion is you gotta have that second build up / drop :)

I agree the sub bass is nice. My suggestion would be to add more tension to the drum pattern. Dubstep usually sits between 70/140 bpm with the snare at 70 but the hi hats and sometimes the bass implying a double tempo. With this track it's more firmly 70 bpm. It's cool, it just makes it more like a ...

Nice. The sub bass kicks in real nice :) It's sort of minimal but it has enough atmosphere to carry it. My only critique would be to change things up more on the second go around. Really nice feel to it though.

I really like the bass sounds and drum / bass programming. It's all spot on. I especially like the bass sound with the digital distortion like at 1:20, really crazy. Lots of variety with the bass sounds / programming.

A couple small suggestions. I would mix the drums / clean sub bass sound a little ...

Noisy first attempt

This is my first attempt at a straight 140/70 bpm dub step track. I've mostly done hip hop beats in the past. It ended up pretty noisy with lots of bit rate reduction effects.

Any and all feedback / criticism greatly appreciated.

Dub Dub

Recently I thought to myself, "I like dubstep, I should check out dub." Things I've found so far that I like:

Almost everything by King Tubby
Dr Alimantado's album Best Dressed Chicken in Town
Some things by Lee Perry

Anyone have recommendations? I'm especially interested in classics / albums and ...

I really like Rustie at the moment, but this thread needs more love for the south, so I'm also going to throw in Zaytoven, Organized Noize and second Block Beataz

I really like Fulgeance right now. For someone that likes hip hop and dubstep and electro, it really hits the spot.

Nice, I like the up tempo style.

Also, it's awesome you're doing things in Savannah. I lived in Ft. Stewart years ago and never would have expected a dubstep scene in that area.
