I considered it ended when I realised you meant you moved to Brooklyn, and not moved to East London. I agree, mostly, with what you're saying about Students and 18-21. I haven't stated that any of this is mainstream though. It's simply the kind of target audience that want to listen to that paticula...

I guess I just strive to share the same experiences, and pleasure in it with other people too.

It gets annoying being the alone in room B, while your mates go mental to jump up or what ever in Room A.

[quote="Rogue Star Fair enough, then find nights that you can appreciate, you cant blame the artists for havin a target audience, thats what any musician/artist is after, the rest is up to agents, punters and promoters, when did you come into the scene? were you around when there was only 30 pe...

Me God damn it! I want some thing to complain about. It doesn't matter at all, really, as long as people are enjoying music. The only reason I get annoyed is that loads of my friends exclusively like Caspa, Rusko, Skream and Benga, and refuse to listen to anything else, because it has no wobble, or...

I would stop ur arguing b4 u make ur self look silly mate, mechabot has done alot more for uk dance music then u think, and what has student geared dubstep nights got to do within the grand scheme of things? also i wouldn't rule out the US for dubstep there's so much popping off there its ridiculou...

It's one thing that Simon Reynold's dislikes Caspa's tunes which are in many ways pretty basic and a bit aggy (though I don't think he makes any bones about that) but to lump in Mala and Loefah who are undoubtedly two of the most talented producers Yeah, I was slightly confused when I read this. Ev...

Also: You're from Brooklyn, and I can imagine you haven't witnessed the kind of mainstream form Dubstep has taken here in the UK. In till you've done that, I wouldn't make so many judgements. FAIL, I'm from south east london, I moved here 18 months ago. If you joined 14-15 months ago, why did you l...

Oh goodness, a comparison to the izan party, how original, and compelling an arguement. I better completly stand down. Just because people think most students are irritating, and the culture that surrounds them is geared towards "living it large" - completly because of the capitalist syste...

I don't think it's just a problem with Caspa's music though, it's a problem with the nature of the people who are recieving it with uncritical open arms, while ignoring most other kinds of Dubstep. And the point does stand that the kind of music he makes appeals to the culture that alot of people di...

What ever our opinion of the article as a whole is, it is riddles with some pretty funny moments: 'that kind of dubstep" with "every pissed middle-class student wanker acting like geezer and geezerette on dancefloors across the country" ' It's so true. Caspa to me embodies the side of...

I don't agree....

Most Dj's and producers worth mentioning play mostly from Dubplates that haven't been "signed" or "pressed" - in fact very few Dubstep artists are "signed" - they just send their music to a label, usually owned by another artist, who choses whether they want to release ...
