Ahh fuck it, I'm gonna sound like a right tnuc but here goes :- You have a lack of knowledge or skill and talent. That isn't meant to sound disrespectful dude but its often the case with 'loopitus'. I'm not saying go to college and learn for a degree in music theory but certain basic knowledge is fu...

I've got one of the original Remote25's (No 231 I think - lol) and its still as good as when it was new. I've had other controllers that start acting up as they grow old but this thing just loves life. I've used it nearly every day since I got it and all the pots, faders and keys are fine. Got a Noc...

I tried them a good while ago before they were eventually ported to PC and VST and I was very impressed with them then. However, since then I think things have moved on and now I wouldn't be quite so impressed. They are high quality imo and as such the 'pro' price tag adds to their mystic, but to be...

A good base guide is to keep in x2 factors. Respectfully, this is an old wives' tale and not true in the slightest :) There's a great deal more to up/downsampling than throwing away every other sample (taking your example). The original rate is multiplied to an intermediate and ridiculously high va...

No, there are many more reasons for owning a Mac  Seriously, a pc vs mac debate ain't something I like getting into as its purely a personal preference. There are good and bad in both so it boils down to individual choice over 'which is best'. As for choosing a computer because of a sequencer ...

I wanted a real analog again and lusted after the LP but the price is high so I had to wait. As I was saving, Dave Smith released the Mopho, which imo easily competes with the moog soundwise. Obviously if your a player then the keyboard of the LP will be essential but as a mono analogue sound source...

I think Nuendo was more to do with Steinbug hoping to compete on a more 'pro' level with Pro Tools and the like. It came out about the same time they launched Houston (remember that!!!!) and I think Steiny hoped the expensive solutions were what 'pro's' bought!!! :P If your a producer mainly then Cu...

i bounce my stuff at 48k/24bit its just a bit more definition Have you compared it to 44.1/24bit or 88.2/24bit? If the music is going to end up on a cd then it will have to be sample rate converted which depending on the algorithm can sound brutal so any benifit of working at 48k is lost in the tra...

Might be a typo but you need to connect it from the output of the mixer to the 'input' on the soundcard.

Then take a look at the audio properties on you OS to be sure you are using the correct ones.

Sweet man, glad it helped. If you got 4 gig of ram you should be fine even with MS Fista or Vespa whatever its called  As for Traktor, if you got a suitable audiocard and some kind of controller then it can be a great way to mix. The 'key' of the tune will alter as you speed up or slow down a ...

I have a PCI UAD-1 and the following plugins :- LA2A, 1176LN, 1176SE, Fairchild, Putec & Pro, The CS-1 (obviously), Plate140, Dreamverb, Cambridge EQ, Nigel etc As I don't have much DSP I stick to the plugs above and don't worry too much about lusting for a Neve console in my studio. For me, the...

Okay, danger. The NNXT seems to be timestretching all the songs. A good octave or two drop in pitch and far too slow. Is it something I should just fiddle back to normal in the NNXT? Or go down a different route? ...use them as individual hits loaded up in a redrum? :o Just play it higher up the ke...
