Re: Skrillex's Real Secret
one of skrillexs secrets is the use of kontakt, and using the timemachine mode and setting loop points on the sound and applying the envelopes to the loop speed knob.

Re: MARLOK - DREAMING
nice chilled vibe...drums need work imo, kick boost in the 65-100hz region maybe use a good eq like fabfilter-pro-q throw a wide curve and boost the snare a just tad between 200-500hz, add some hi hat shuffle, good to bandpass highhats between 2k-20k boosting between 5k-10k most....i dunno if you ...

Re: FAO you Datsik/Excision wannabes
IMHO they're not "that" good. Not enough to warrant the relentless bumming of them. I prefer my brostep to have a more complex drum pattern and more depth to the bass. And a little additional melody too. , Datsik tracks I've listened to are always kick, snare...kick...kick...snare.... always 1/3 ...

Re: The Depressing inevitable commercialisation of Dubstep.
We can see it happening people. Rusko's a victim of it in the states, slowly but surely, dubstep is becoming mainstream. I'm not elitist or a musical snob, but it irks me when people who are overwhelmingly ignorant of the genre as a whole talk about how much they love dubstep.I'd like it to be more ...

CUBASE 5 Exporting bug???
anyone else have this problem.....
when you export audio from cubase it always adds a tiny bit of silence to the beginning of the file, causing it to be out of sync with everything else....the only way to fix it is to open the audio editor and move the start point right up to the first transient ...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for NOVEMBER, 2010
DJdopejack - The first thing that jumped out at me was how harsh that rimshot (or whatever you're using) is, it hits either side of the snare? Sounds like it could do with some reverb, or change the sample completely. Good work though!

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for NOVEMBER, 2010
@ Phigure - Ha well I already commented on this but I gave it another listen anyway, Love those tribal drums! Upon further listening I think I would like to hear more kick in the lower frequencies. would really help to give it some more punch to that bassline that kind of fallows the kicks ...

Re: What is Your method for quickly/easily resampling your s
pre fade is good if you don`t want the effects on the channel you`re sending to effect the signal on the return. for example say you want to frequency split a kick drum so you have a low end, but a top end to cut thru the mix....you could create an audio channel for a kick sample....place an eq on ...
