Any producers out there in the electronic realm in NYC willing to collab? Too many influences to name but I consider myself an electronic head of many sorts and always stay current to various sounds coming out. Obviously into dubstep but who keeps up with genres anymore?

Doesn't really matter what program you use in the end... quality comes from a good mixdown.
As for transitions and what not, listen to a producer you like and pay close attention to what/how they do things. Not saying to rip them off, but when I'm stuck I'll listen to something I like for ...

This is a common problem among Pioneer CDJs. Look up the button on ebay, shouldn't be more than 10 USD. You could probably fix it yourself, but then again it's an expensive piece of equipment you're messing with. But it may not be worth shilling out all that money for easy work.
